It reminds me of the episode involving a suspected kidnap/murder at a Catholic school where Morse asks Lewis (played by Whately) what his religious background is, and Lewis replies “..um, the usual, you know.” I suppose that Kevin Whately’s ancestor was spinning in his grave.
