Not surprised your site scooped an award. You’ve done more to provide an understanding of the current crisis than all the other media combined. With its lucid anlaysis, measured comment and excellent source materials, your site should be compulsory daily fare for our politicians at this time and the rest of the commentariat as well. They might learn something for a change! Brilliant site; well done!

Well deserved! I congratulate the economics “profession” in this Republic for this and other similar initiatives, without which public discourse would be limited. You are an excellent example of of a group of citizens trying to ensure that Madison’s insight on governing in a democracy is acted on ie “Ambition must be made to counteract ambition. In framing a government that is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: first you must anable the government to control the governed and in the next place, you must oblige it to control itself”. Given the experience of the last 40 years here, you still have plenty of work left to do!
