Barely above minimum wage for someone with a Masters or PhD. Nice.
Seriously. How do these people sleep at night?
For an entry-level job which is likely to have an on-the-job training content, the pay may not be all that bad. The real killer may be the short duration (11 months). It is very likely that if the successful candidate turns out to be brilliant, that UCC would not offer him/her a new contract, as this would be seen to give rise to a possible claim for job-permanency. So to avoid this UCC (or rather its HR minions) will insist on no re-hires.
And all this largely stems from EU directives which purport to increase job security!
